いいや、政教分離の原則は、政治/宗教の世俗的利益のためにお互いを非民主的な方法で利用することを禁じているはずだ。つまり国家神道のような形態。
政教分離、宗教の政治関与の焦点は、民主主義と人権の原則に反していないか否かだと私は思う。
その点で信者の選挙票を教団がコントロールする創価学会も旧統一教会もアウト。

米国の宗教界は海外の紛争地域などでも積極的に人々を助ける活動しているから、むしろこういった恐怖政治(Terror)の状況下での民主化運動のエキスパートなのかも。
